What we sell

We sell digital, downloadable counted cross-stitch patterns (PDF charts, and where available, a “Pattern Keeper” version). Nothing physical is shipped — your download is available instantly after payment, from your account page.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

Orders and payment

Prices are shown in GBP, which is the currency you’re actually charged in — other currencies displayed on the site are estimates for convenience only. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Your order is confirmed once payment is successful, at which point your download becomes available.

Instant delivery and your right to cancel

Because patterns are delivered digitally and instantly, UK law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) allows us to ask you to agree, at checkout, that you lose your standard 14-day right to cancel once your download has started. By completing a purchase, you confirm you understand this and consent to immediate delivery.

Refunds and problems with your order

Because of the above, we don’t offer refunds simply for a change of mind once a pattern has been downloaded. That said, if something’s actually gone wrong on our end — the wrong file, a corrupted or unreadable PDF, or anything else that means you haven’t received a working copy of what you paid for — tell us using the “Problem with this chart?” link next to your download, or contact us directly, and we’ll put it right or refund you.

Using the patterns you buy

When you buy a pattern, we grant you a personal licence to print and use it to stitch for yourself, as gifts, or as items you sell in small (non-commercial/hobby) quantities — a normal craft-fair or Etsy-style setup is fine. What you can’t do:

• Share, resell, or redistribute the PDF file itself, in whole or in part
• Use the chart or artwork to mass-produce or manufacture items commercially
• Claim the pattern design as your own

Reviews

Only customers who’ve bought a pattern can leave a rating and review for it. Reviews should be honest and relevant. We may edit or remove a review — for example, to take out spam or inappropriate content — without notice.

The stitch tracker

The stitch tracker is a free tool for marking off your progress on a pattern. Any PDF you open in it is read in your browser and never uploaded to us; if you’re signed in, only your progress is saved to your account (see our Privacy Policy). Only open patterns you have the right to use: the tracker doesn’t change who owns a pattern or what its licence allows. Please check the original PDF if anything looks wrong, as it’s provided as is, without a guarantee that it’s always available or free of mistakes.

Intellectual property

All patterns, artwork, branding, and content on this site belong to Chart Chic / Yvonne Ward, except where stated otherwise, and are protected by copyright.

Availability and changes

We may add, remove, or update patterns and prices at any time. We’ll always honour the price and version you paid for at the time of your order.

Our liability

We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or a pattern. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — if we make significant changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
